A Free website is a real website on an instantsite.app address. Pro is where it becomes your address, in your colours, with your mark on it.

Billing, plainly
Four things worth knowing before you choose, each of which is how the product behaves rather than a promise about it.
Card details go straight to Stripe and are entered on their checkout. Instantsite never sees or stores them, and every invoice is in your dashboard.
Upgrades apply immediately and credit the unused time on your old plan. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the period you already paid for.

Move to a smaller plan and your extra websites become read-only rather than disappearing. Move back up and they are editable again.
Before you choose
Yes. The Free plan needs no card. You describe your business, Instantsite generates a complete website, you edit it in the same editor everyone uses, and you publish it to a free instantsite.app address. Free covers 1 website.
New accounts start on Free with a 30-day window. During it you have the whole Free plan. When it ends, managing your websites and domains in the dashboard is locked until you choose a paid plan. Nothing is deleted, and everything comes straight back when you upgrade. There is no card on file, so nothing is ever charged automatically.
Monthly bills you once a month and you can stop at the end of any month. Yearly takes one payment for twelve months up front, and costs less: Pro is $152.91 a year instead of $203.88, and Premium is $335.90 instead of $479.88. The per-month figure shown on a yearly card is that annual price divided by twelve; the annual total is always printed next to it.
Yes, from Billing in your dashboard or from this page. Moving up takes effect immediately: you are charged the difference today and the unused time on your current plan is credited automatically by Stripe. Switching between monthly and yearly works the same way and starts a new billing period.
Nothing changes today. You keep the plan you paid for until the end of the current billing period, and nothing is charged. At that point the smaller plan takes over: features it does not include stop working, and any websites beyond its limit become read-only instead of being deleted. Deleting one, or moving back up, makes the rest editable again.
Yes. Cancel from Billing in your dashboard. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, then the account returns to Free. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.
On Pro and Premium, yes: connect a domain you already own, or buy one through Instantsite from Domains in your dashboard, as a separate charge from your subscription. Instantsite handles the DNS records and routes traffic to your website. On Free you publish to an instantsite.app address instead.
Your account returns to Free, which allows 1 website. Your websites are not deleted: those over the limit become read-only until you upgrade or remove one. Custom domains are a paid feature, so a website on one needs a paid plan to stay reachable at that address.
Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude tax. Stripe calculates any VAT or sales tax that applies where you are during checkout and shows the total before you confirm. You can add a business tax ID on the same screen.
