Pages and navigation

Pages and the header menu are managed in the sidebar with nothing selected, under Pages and Navigation menu.

The page limit

A website can hold up to 7 pages in total, including the ones you add yourself. The generator writes 5 of them, which leaves room for 2 of your own without deleting anything.

Adding a page

1. Open the pages panel

   Choose Add a page in the sidebar.

2. Choose a page type

   There are 6 types: About, Services, Projects, FAQ, Contact and Custom. The type sets what the page starts with.

3. Name it

   The name becomes the menu label, and the web address is derived from it. Two pages cannot share a name.

A new page arrives with one neutral text section. Build it up with the section drawer.

Renaming and reordering

• Rename a page from its row in the pages panel. The menu label follows the name.
• Reorder pages with the up and down controls. The menu follows the order.
• The web address of a page can be edited separately from its name, so renaming a page you have already published does not have to change its address.

Hiding a page from the menu

Each page has a switch for whether it appears in the header menu. A page that is off the menu still exists and can still be linked to from a button or from another page, useful for a thank-you page, a landing page or a policy you only link from the footer.

How the header menu behaves

Up to 5 links sit directly in the desktop header. From 6, the header keeps the first 4 and moves the rest under a More menu, so the menu can never push your header button off the row.

Home always stays directly visible, wherever the split falls.

On a phone every page appears in the menu that opens from the header, with no overflow.

Removing a page

Pages are removed from their row in the panel. The home page cannot be removed. Any button pointing at a page you delete needs a new destination; publishing checks for links that go nowhere and will tell you.
